Deep Ice Hole
Estimated depths of the Nenana Glacier are roughly 300 to 600 feet thick. As the water finds its way down into the deep, it helps lubricate all of the ice above to grind its way further down. The water also carries rocks, sand and sediment out feeding into the river systems of interior Alaska.
