Franz Josef Glacier

Just the very tip of the glacier is visible, but the Ice sheet above is still very extensive. The Valley that used to hold this glacier is quite steep, and to reach the snowfield you have to climb over 1,100 meters in elevation to reach what feeds the mouth of the glacier!
