Old and New
Tokyo is famous for its rich history in ancient temples and shrines, along with all the modernization of a mega-city. This view of a 5 story pagoda at the Senso-ji Temple was first built in 942 and was destroyed by fire and rebuilt in 1648, then it was destroyed during the air-raids of March 1945, and was rebuilt to its present state back in 1973. The left is the Tokyo Skytree (Tōkyō Sukaitsurī) which is currently the tallest tower (reaching a staggering 2,080 feet) in the world!
