Open Water Glacier
Portage Glacier, on a good winter, can be explored by walking out on the frozen lake, out to the mouth of the glacier. As spring was on the horizon, the glacier started to move downward again, dumping huge chunks of ice into the lake, breaking up the frozen lake ice around the mouth.
